Fasthosts – Inbound Email Delays

Some customers may be experiencing delays of up to one hour in receiving their email.

Engineers are working to resolve this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

UPDATE

Our engineers have worked to mitigate the issue throughout the night. Normal service has resumed and we will continue to monitor the performance of our email platform throughout the day.

UPDATE

Due to higher than expected load on our POP3 mail servers, customers may find that they are currently unable to connect to their mailboxes. Connection via IMAP and to Exchange mailboxes is unaffected, and customers will still be able to connect to their mailboxes through our Webmail facility.

UPDATE

Following work to mitigate the effects of this issue, mail services have now returned to normal.
We will continue to closely monitor the affected email platform.

UPDATE

Following completion of successful maintenance, our mail platform has now been brought back online.
Access to emails will remain intermittent while our mail queues clear and traffic returns to normal levels.

UPDATE

Exchange mailboxes are unaffected and operating as usual.

Customers using Standard mailboxes, Advanced mailboxes, and Webmail may find incoming mail is delayed while our queues return to normal levels.

There are no delays in sending mail, however there may be a slight delay between sending email and messages appearing in the Sent Items folder.

Connection to mailboxes remains intermittent, but this should reduce during the afternoon.

UPDATE

Due to the complexity of our email architecture, some customers will find access to their email more intermittent than others. Further maintenance is planned for tonight, when load across our mail platform is light.
In the meantime, while there is currently no change in status to this issue all technical resources available are continuing to be used in resolving this as soon as possible.
