We believe this issue is now resolved. However, due to the nature of DNS, customers may find they need to flush their DNS cache and reboot their modem or router.

This issue was caused by a recent Denial of Service attack, which was aimed at our DNS servers. All steps taken to mitigate this attack appear to have been successful. Further information about this can be found in our blog at http://blogs.fasthosts.co.uk/.

A number of Fasthosts customers experienced DNS resolution issues for which we apologise. The source of the issue was identified as relating to a DDoS attack. We have implemented mitigating action to block the attack and have taken measures to bolster our protection. A full service has now been restored to affected customers and we thank our customers for their patience and understanding.
We apologise for any disruption to our customers during this period
